Fungi-derived systems.
Regenerative futures.

We follow the biology. Partnering with mycelial intelligence to build living, adaptive materials and distributed systems for industry.

Discover our platform

ROOT WISE REPAIR develops fungi-derived systems and regenerative biomaterials that serve as critical infrastructure across industry.

We follow the biology. From field to organism to architecture, we partner with mycelial intelligence to create living, adaptive materials and distributed systems. What began as an exploration of fungi's neuroprotective potential has evolved into a broader platform: engineering fungi-derived solutions for sustainable design, biofabrication, regenerative construction, advanced manufacturing, and next-generation interfaces.

Our work honors the inherent intelligence of fungi — nature's original network — to build resilient, circular, and ecologically harmonious technologies. We design systems that don't just mimic nature; they work in concert with it.

Founded in 2023 by Leslie Deinhammer and based in Beloit, WI, ROOT WISE REPAIR emerged from gBETA '24 and continues to grow at the intersection of biology, materials science, and regenerative innovation.

Today we develop fungi-derived systems applicable across multiple industries — creating the foundational materials and architectures of a more living, responsive, and sustainable future.

Fungal Composite Interface Systems

A proprietary fungi-derived system engineered to deliver fire-retardant and antimicrobial performance across aviation, HVAC, manufacturing, and healthcare surfaces.

Biomaterials Education

Curriculum frameworks introducing fungi as design infrastructure across academic institutions — proving systems work, building the next generation of biomaterials thinkers.

Licensing Model

ROOT WISE REPAIR does not manufacture commercial products. We prove processes work, protect how they work, and license that knowledge into industries and institutions.
